              Challenge Outdoor Fabrics
ECOPAK™ is the world’s only durable and waterproof fabric made from 100% recycled polyester fiber and film. Each yard upcycles about 20 plastic water bottles into durable technical textiles.
Based on 35 years of weaving, coating and laminating experience, Challenge’s ECOPAK™ fabric lasts longer, absorbs 80% less moisture, and has better UV resistance and color retention than traditional laminated nylon. Just like our sailcloth that has been tested around the world, ECOPAK™ performs in the harshest conditions.
ECOPAK™ EPX Collection
EPX200
All-around performance in over 20 colors! Good choice for small to mid-size packs, 400/600d is recommended for bottom panels and high abrasion areas.
EPX400
The 400d recycled polyester has almost twice the abrasion resistance compared to 420d nylon. Well suited for pack bottoms, or stand-alone for highest overall durability.
ECOPAK™ EPLX Collection
100% recycled polyester components, C0 DWR (no fluorocarbons), waterproof 0.5 mil RUV™ matte film backing, recyclable after use. Compared to other laminated pack fabric with shiny film, Challenge’s proprietary RUV™ matte film is more abrasion resistant, wrinkles less, and is 97% UV resistant.
EPLX200
Lightweight performance, economical price! Good choice for a waterproof liner. As a face fabric in an ultralight pack, use extra reinforcement for bar tacks and daisy chain webbing.
EPLX400
The 400d recycled face fabric almost twice the abrasion resistance as standard 420d nylon. Well suited for bags with a separate liner, or stand-alone for high durability at low weight.
EPLX450RS
For a more technical look, the 450d has a 3 mm (1/8") ripstop grid. Very good stitch-holding and durability.
ECOPAK™ Hybrid Collection
Diverse group of performance textiles using new & recycled components.
EPX240 Denim
The look and feel of your favorite jeans, made specifically for packs and bags in a waterproof and abrasion resistant construction.
EPX400HH
Hybrid in Heather Grey: tightly woven Hybrid of 400d recycled polyester and nylon with unique Heather look. Special Liquid Crystal Polymer coating for amazing abrasion resistance.
EPLX600 MultiCam®
Official MultiCam® pattern in polyester with same look, feel and durability as the 500d Cordura® MultiCam®
